Public Sector Transactions
The services involved are, by necessity, acutely detailed and exacting. By virtue of experience and quality assurance programs, clients and Crown agencies can expect to avoid unnecessary complications through the available function. Advocacy on the behalf of parties affected by the Crown property requirements is also undertaken.
Land Information New Zealand has a policy of outsourcing the 'operational' functions associated with certain Crown property work that was previously undertaken in-house by Land Information New Zealand for itself and other Crown agencies. This is facilitated through the use of 'accredited suppliers'. The statutory decisions and clearances associated with crown property work continues internally in order to protect Crown and public interests.
Only accredited suppliers may offer services for property work which is unique to the Crown's special needs. Suppliers are required to carefully balance the needs of their clients [for service] against the need to comply with legislation, case law and cabinet directives in order to not compromise their obligations to Land Information New Zealand.
